One of the functions of the county council is to lead the scrutiny of healthcare. There are powers of examination and responsibilities of finance and management.
Today we had a meeting of councillors to discuss what we might analyse and study and how - it all sounds simple but of course it never is and we threw some ideas around and then meet formally on Monday.
